I am thinking about purchasing some timers to use for my barrel racing jackpots, they are 11 years old used timers, in great condition they are wanting $350, is that too much??

Also if I used these timers at my jackpots would it be okay if I charged everyone like a $2.00 timer fee, because they are using them as well or is that just not right?

Thanks.

Not sure if it's too late to reply, but if you check online for some timers, BRAND NEW they are between $300-500 dollars. I think $350 is WAY too much for decade old equipment. You could charge a timer fee, some places do, or to hide the fee perhaps increase your entry fees or charge just a standard arena fee that would include the timers, announcer, barrels and setters, and upkeep of the dirt (tractor/drag etc).
